Captain Pakistan

My Passion for Pakistan

Ahoy cricket fans! Captain Pakistan here. I was born and raised in London, and since the '90s, I've been captivated by Pakistan cricket. My favourite players include Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi. The pride of our nation's culture and our unpredictable game play drew me in from a very young age.

I have witnessed the incredible victories and also the heartbreaking losses, but regardless, I have always supported them throughout.

My earliest memory of cricket is when I was only 6 years old. My father took me into the players' changing room when England was touring Pakistan for a Test series in 2000 at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore. I sat with some great legends of the game including Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam ul Haq, Saeed Anwar and Shahid Afridi.

I’ve watched cricket in many countries, including Pakistan, England, Ireland, Dubai, Australia, and more recently West Indies and the USA. Though my Captain Pakistan character began just recently in 2024, I have long been a passionate fan for many years; whether i’m cheering the team along with chants, or playing the Dhol (drum) to hype up the crowd!

My journey with the other Superfans including Mr Pakistan, Sheikh of Pakistan and others began whilst attending games in the UK since 2016. In 2021 myself and Sheikh of Pakistan were at the T20 WC in Dubai and I also watched the 10 wicket win against India. To celebrate Pakistan’s huge win, the very next day I did a skydive over the Palm Jumeirah!

My Journey

In 2022 we were in Australia for the T20 WC. There, I snorkelled in the Great Barrier Reef, did another skydive in Sydney, and also supported Pakistan throughout the tournament, including the final at MCG in Melbourne in front of 90,000 fans!

For my outfit, I took inspiration from Captain America where he stands for freedom, justice and equality for all. Currently there is so much injustice around the world and I wanted to show that no matter who we are and what our background is, we are all equal in the eyes of God. It took over a year to plan, design and get my suit 3D made from Pakistan, and a lot of money spent!

Captain Pakistan’s debut was during the Ireland series in May 2024, and the reaction from all fans has been amazing! Since then, the public on the road, fans in the ground, commentators during the game and police and other servicemen, all have loved my outfit.

No matter where I am, I enjoy supporting Pakistan and try to bring smiles and joy to every young and old cricket fan who sees me in person or on tv. So if you do see me, don’t be shy to come and chat!
