To all the cricket fans I’m the Dr of Pakistan 🇵🇰 hailing from Kashmir in Pakistan but born in UK… and not a Doctor by profession.

Cricket all started in Ramadhan of 1992.

After turning 14 years old that very month in March My Uncle Allah bless his soul was very passionate about cricket and had the new BSKYB installed for the World Cup. Watching with him, I got to see many games and hey, who knows if it didn’t rain v England what would’ve happened being 74 all out??

The final itself I recall being at school and fasting, all the teachers had their radios and Walkmans listening to the final in Melbourne and that’s when I saw the importance of cricket.

I followed cricket through the years and my first tour as the Dr was in 2012 to Sri Lanka for the T20 WC. Touring with the Super Fans is credit to the Shiekh of Pakistan & also Mr Pakistan who helped the Dr on this journey… even though we fell short in the semi final to Sri Lanka it was definitely the most memorable tour.

The next tour followed in Australia in 2015… that Wahab and Watson game… wow !!

The plan was to go back again in 2020 for T20 WC but due to covid that got cancelled and the World Cup was moved to 2022. Family commitments meant I couldn't attend but my heart was there with the team and once again we came might close.

Looking to try to go to West Indies next year for the WC so join us of you can.
