New Years Test: Day 2

Day 2 SCG...

Got there nice and early today. Walked around the merchandise stalls outside the ground and took in the hustle and bustle of fans finding their gates. Gave a few selfies and went in and to our seats.

Hardly any Pak fans there which was very very disappointing considering the same stadium was jam packed with Pakistan fans last year for the Semi Final.

Our bowlers kept it tight and scoring was slow so we drifted over to the stand where the famous Australian fan group 'The Richies' were sitting. These fans always attend in full fancy dress in homage to the great Richie Benaud who was a player and commentator.

The banter between the Pakistan Super Fans and The Ritchies was awesome and then we joined forces and sang their songs and they chanted Zindabad when we shouted 'Pakistan'.

The afternoon was quiet with only one wicket falling and then play stopped due to bad light. We stayed in the hope of play resuming but the rain put an end to our hopes.

An early return to the hotel today and play starts earlier tomorrow. With it being 'Pink Day' tomorrow, we will all support the cancer charity The McGrath Foundation and wear something Pink.
